Dominic (Right) got to work with Rock Legend Michael Bruce of Alice Cooper in my movie SCARLET MOON.

THE RAG is a monthly local entertainment newspaper distributed along the New Jersey Shore and was Dominic Gregoria's idea and his baby, along with his partner, Paul "Bear" Bagdanov.

The Staff credits read as follows:
Publisher/Assoc.Editor Dom Gregoria
Art direction/Assoc. Editor Paul "Bear" Bagdanov
Contributing Writers:
Donnie G (Dom), Jenny Twerell, Vara Lynne, Warren Disbrow, Queen Spartina, Tracie Orsi, Debra Calabro

Because Dominic worked for me for years as an actor in both SCARLET MOON and DARK BEGINNINGS, it was sort of natural that he should ask me to contribute articles for his newspaper concerning movie and arts related subjects.

I have written one or two articles for every issue for  almost two years now and through Dom's efforts the "free" newspaper, focussing on the Jersey Shore entertainment scene, can be found in nearly 100 different stores and restaurants.
Paul and Dominic had previously worked together on another small local free paper published out of the now extinct Seaview Square Mall. Dominic was a contributing writer and missed it when the newspaper went bankrupt. Dominc  decided to contact Paul years later and put their own newspaper together. Thus THE RAG came into being.

THE RAG has been around for at least two years.

My contributions to THE RAG, naturally, involve mostly movie and play reviews and motion picture production related subjects. I have also covered the movie business and Tribecca Film Festival and background information on shooting movies in New Jersey from other NJ based filmmakers as well as my own experiences.

I've asked Dominic many times when he plans to sell back issues of THE RAG, and when he plans to open a web site, and his answer is always basically "soon".

Dom has a full plate working at Sears, doing local plays and carrying the weight of publishing THE RAG. He also has to fit in doing additional shoots and narrations on DARK BEGINNINGS, so I guess time-wise he is maxed out at this point. We communicate mostly via answering machines of late.

If you see THE RAG in your travels around the New Jersey Shore Points, pick up a copy. I think you'll like it.

If you own a business at the Jersey Shore, advertising in THE RAG will hit your target market big time and Dom does his best to keep the cost of advertising in THE RAG very affordable ("CHEAP" in fact)
